The Brain Book helps us map sticky words into our brain, for those words that we just keep getting stuck on.
- Teachers or kids write the word on the top line of a page, as well as the back for easy reference to the word inside. The back page serves as a reminder page. Teachers can have students color over the sticky spelling of the word in yellow.
- Teachers help students to splat the sticky spellings in the word and map it by what spells each sound.
- Students write a sentence to show meaning for the word. Have students circle the word in the sentence. (Teachers can also write the sentence FOR students if the student gives the sentence orally – for a high modification)
